Privacy Policy / Protection of personal data

1. Introduction

The purpose of this personal data protection policy is to inform you in a clear and transparent manner about the data we collect, the use we make of it and your rights concerning this data.

2. The data controller

The WATCH LOUNGE S.A.,whose registered office is Parvis Saint-Pierre 14, 1180 Brussels, as well as VERMEIREN-BOOGAERTS SRL, whose registered office is Rector De Somerplein 4, 3000 Leuven, and with the trade names “George Joailliers” (“George Juweliers”), is responsible for processing your personal data.

3. Personal data processed

George Joailliers collects and processes only the data that you have personally passed when sending a request to it (via the contact form, by post, email or telephone) or during an online purchase.

Only the data necessary to respond to your request is processed, namely your title, last name, first name, email, address and/or telephone number. In the case of online purchases your title, last name, first name, email, delivery address and billing address and telephone number are processed.

4. Purposes of the processing

Your personal data is processed only to respond to your request (when you ask a question via our contact form) or to process an order (for example an online purchase, a repair…) or when the processing is necessary for George Joailliers to comply with a legal obligation imposed on it. Depending on the case, the processing is based on Articles 6.1, a (consent), 6.1, b (performance of the contract or pre-contractual measures) or 6.1, c (compliance with a legal obligation) of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 ( hereinafter “GDPR”).

With your consent, we also use your data to send advertisements by email, to send newsletters or to send invitations to events. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by sending an email to the address xxxxxxxx.

5. Communication to third parties

Your personal data is not communicated to third parties.

6. Data retention period

We only keep your personal data for the time necessary to fulfil the purpose for which you passed it to us, or to allow George Joailliers to comply with its legal obligations for the conservation of archives (including accounting and tax). This period will be extended when needed to manage any dispute.

7. Cookies

The site http://begeorge.be only uses essential cookies. These are small files that are placed on the computer, the user’s mobile phone or tablet during their visit to the website and which are essential for establishing communication on the Internet and for providing the service requested by the visitor to the site (e.g.: a form or online purchase). The life of such cookies is limited to the duration of the user session.

The site does not use any statistical cookies (functional cookies).

    • to request a limitation of the processing of your data under the conditions set out in article 18 of the GDPR (in particular if you dispute the accuracy of the data, and for a period that allows us to check the accuracy of the data),
    • to oppose the processing of your personal data for reasons relating to your particular situation under the conditions set out in article 21 of the GDPR,
    • request a copy of your personal data to transmit it to another data controller in the cases provided for in article 20 of the GDPR.

To prevent a third party from manipulating your data, we will ask you to provide us with a copy of the front of your identity card.
